Skeletor Repaint by Michael Ludwig

I do really love Sideshow´s Masters of the Universe line, especially the bad guys caught my attention within a heartbeat. Sideshow´s development team put a lot of creative work into the sculpt, bringing a whole new design facette to the heroes and villains of so many childrens playrooms of the 80´s.

So i was thrilled to get my hands on the Skeletor statue, but I got to admit I was quite dissapointed when I unboxed him. The paint applications were very monochrome, overlaying all the beautiful details of the armor, the weapons and the sceptor. Also the super awesome stone-snake base just had been held in one basic dark-blueish color.

So I decided to hand over the Lord of Evil to pro painter Michael Ludwig - and as you can see in the following galleries, Michael did a great job on recovering the details of the armor and the sword, also adding a much more alive look to the snake base. I am totally happy with the result and if you like, just compare Michael´s repaint to the original factory paint. You will approve!
